Welcome to Manila Food Finds!

This blog was made to cater to the basic need of human beings.

Eating - which we all love to do!

There are hundreds of food establishments up and about that serves fine meals. But what happens if you get tired of the same old taste you eat day in and day out?

Just like the rest of you, I'm looking for new and exciting places to eat and have some fun at the same time, which is why this blog was created - to share with you the adventures (and hassles) that a food lover has to endure in search of a good find.

We're not picky eaters and we'll try everything and anything as long as it's edible!

Healthy Snacks with Soy Products

Went to RFC Las Pinas for some errands and I stumbled upon this neat little food kiosk near the grocery. It's called Mr. Bean Taho and as a food hunter, I didn't let this opportunity pass!

They offer Soy Milk (comes in chocolate flavor), Taho with a lot of different toppings, Fried Tofu and what really caught my attention was the Prawn Tofu.

Soy Milk is really an acquired taste. You may or may not like it but most of my friends learned to love it after a little prodding. It's a healthier alternative to carbonated drinks and is a good source of protein.

Ate was kind enough to offer us a mix of the Fried Tofu and Prawn Tofu so we can taste both. Their Fried Tofu tasted like the regular tofu sold in the market but with a fresher flavor and fuller soya taste. The Prawn Tofu is a round shaped tofu seasoned to taste like prawns and I swear they really did a good job on that. It really does taste like prawns! A healthy alternative to fish balls or other street foods and a good source of protein minus the cholesterol. Didn't get to try their taho which is their specialty daw but I promise to come back and sample it in the near future.
